Is it possible for a user to add a Lateral Pipe Category that is not already in the system? I assume that is not since there is a myriad of data associated with each pipe category, such as dimension, friction coefficients, etc.
The reason I ask is that I am currently working on an irrigation system design wherein approximately 2/3 of the project is more like a restoration planting than a traditional landscape. We are planning for the irrigation on this portion of the project to be temporary, only remaining for one or two growing seasons while the plants become established. This is a woodland area, and in order to avoid causing root damage, we would like to install the temporary lateral lines at grade. We certainly could use pvc for this, but I am exploring other options at the moment. One option I am exploring is the use of PE-IDR-Non NSF Pipe such as by Charter Plastics http://www.charterplastics.com/pipe/irrigation-pipe/non-nsf-irrigation-pipe/ Not sure if this is what we will end up using, but I want to know if there is a way that I can use Land FX to correctly size my laterals using this type of pipe.
Also, if anybody has any other thoughts on temporary systems such as this, please speak up! I'd love to hear about what others might have done in past that worked well (and things that didn't work well).
