Hey Gang, it's been a long while, I hope all is well.

Im in the process of customizing my office's irrigation head symbols. Is there a way to create rotary symbol that rotates? ie. like the HE-VAN symbology. And could there be a way to create a dynamic feature that changes the symbol depending on the arc, kind of a like hybrid of using the the smart arc feature, but with rotaries. We'd like to use more of the symbol/block to express the arc than see the arc-path.

Cheers
Chris

Chris,
Thank you for the examples! To be clear, no version of Land F/X has ever allowed for rotating rotary symbols. The only past rotating symbol options have been with the sprays, then with rotors and drip emitters. Rotaries is the most complex and still pending set of symbols to allow for rotation. We will be meeting soon about what requirements will be needed in order to allow for rotating rotary symbols and will keep you posted.
Chris,
We have it in the works to allow rotary symbols to rotate, yes. However, rotaries are the most complex of heads since they function differently per manufacturer, and have several layers of information to try and display within a single nozzle.

So I would love to see some examples of what you are trying to achieve so we can see how to best try and accommodate your standards if possible. You are welcome to post them here or submit them as a technical support ticket where we can discuss things further.
I think you guys are almost there. I recall in the early version of LFX where the symbols used for the earlier versions of the Rain Bird rotary van nozzles would rotate.
I've attached some of the symbols we'd like to associate with the Rain Bird RVAN symbols.
