We are in the home-stretch of a brand-new Basic CAD Trainer module and need some input from you, our users.

Background:
Land F/X Trainer
Have you tried out the improved Planting, Irrigation and Details trainer modules?
In the Help dropdown on any of our F/X Ribbons in AutoCAD or F/X CAD, we added a new Trainer button in 2023.
These modules consist of micro-training videos: short, 60-90 second videos that focus on one task. They're great for new users and old users looking to make sure they're aware of all the latest tools.
The video interface allows the learner to full-screen the video, use playback settings like changing the speed, or access closed captioning or a full transcript. The interface is also meant to stay up while the learner is in CAD, so they can follow along with the video with it up, even on another screen, but it's still linked to CAD.

But a huge feature of these trainers is that at the end of each video, Super-Dude pops up and asks the learner to complete a specific task in the video in order to verify it. This feature is actually able to see if the learner does use the requested tool successfully in the way requested. If that's not done when they click verify, Super-Dude is sad and asks them to try again, and celebrates with them when done correctly. The trainer then crosses that video off on the list. Many CAD Managers have told us this is really helping them with on-boarding training.

Back to the CAD Basics Training Module:
We've planned out 3 modules: Basics, Intermediate, and Advanced. We're halfway through recording basics, along with follow-along DWG files.

The question we need input on is with the verification. Getting the trainer to verify Land F/X commands was easy. Getting it to recognize AutoCAD commands is going to be much more complicated.
Is it worth it to you for an actual verification that a Polyline was indeed drawn successfully, or would a simple "Did you do it?" verification be acceptable on the CAD trainer series?
If the honor system is fine with you, we can get the CAD trainer series out faster.
If you think an actual verification system is a critical backbone that is really, really needed, it'll take longer to complete each series.

What do you think? Actual verification is OK, not really as great as we think it is, a nice cherry on top but not essential, or would the CAD trainer be "useless" without it? We want to get a gut check to see how we should prioritize this, and how much you all value it.

Thanks!
Amanda

Personally, I think that the basic ACAD skills such as drawing a polyline may be going too basic. Anyone diving into that should be beyond that stage. Plus it would make your task list enormous! I think that the honor system is best and that basic ACAD skills can be gained by most individuals by watching YouTube.
