We are working on switching our LandFX profile. We created a temporary Profile as we refined these standards before releasing them to the whole company. The intent is to eliminate the "Test profile" and save over our standard profile to display the new font style. Now we are at the transition point and want to know the best process for releasing the new Profile company-wide. Is it possible to make this transition simply through a change in the profile names (change the current standard profile to something denoting it as deprecated and change the new standard profile to the current profile name). How will this impact projects set up with the current profile (will they follow the depreciated profile with the new name or will they automatically update based on the renaming of the new standard?)
Please feel free to ask any additional questions that might require clarification. Any feedback on transitioning to new font styles would be helpful,

I assume when you say profile, you mean Preference Set? If so, you should be able to simply set your current (old) Preference Set active and click the "Manage" button to the right of the Preference Set list. Within the Manage dialog, click "Delete" which will remove your current Pref Set from the list. You will then be brought back to the Preference Set dialog where you can set the cleaned up new standard Pref Set active. Again, click "Manage" and click "New". This will allow you to name this new cleaned up Pref Set as the old Name so all projects still look at that Preference Set as the desired standards.
You will just need to make sure that when working in old drawings that were setup with the old standards, you double check defined standards to make sure there aren't two different styles conflicting with one another. The nice thing is for items like Font styles that were already defined and created in your old Pref Set, you can run the "REAT" command and it will go through the drawing and update all text styles to the new fonts.
