I'm not sure if I'm overlooking something or if I'm just thinking that this must be more complicated than it is, but I'm wondering about moving blocks between computers that are set up as individual workstations (not on server). At my company, I typically work 3-4 days at the office and 1-2 days at home. I am quite comfortable with copying dwg files, backing up and restoring projects and office settings, and importing details.

But when it comes to blocks that I create and save in the LandFX block library, I'm unsure what the proper way to transfer those back and forth between computers. I know that blocks that I have inserted into a dwg or project that I am transferring will ride along with the data. However, sometimes when working in one location, when creating custom blocks I will create multiple iterations (for instance if I'm going to create a 6-inch machine bolt block, I will probably go ahead and create other sizes that I will likely need in the future). What about the blocks that are not inserted into a dwg or part of a project that I am transferring. Is it okay to just copy the block dwg from the blocks folder and then place it in the same location on my other computer, or will this cause problems? Is there some sort of export function for block libraries that I have not found?

Thanks in advance for your help.
It's even easier than that. You don't need to make a standard folder under Admin or back anything up. The blocks are just the blocks, although there is also the SLD preview slide, and XML data file that share the same name. So it's as easy as just copying any number of files and/or folders within the Blocks folder. We recommend backing up the entire Landfx folder, but if you were just interested in migrating custom blocks from one install to another, just copy the entire Blocks folder.

I might have just discovered the answer to my own question by reading through the CAD Standards section of the Land FX documentation. It seems that if I set up a standard folder within Admin and use it regularly to make backup copies of all my LandFX data, all I need to do is copy those files into the appropriate folder on my second computer. Is this correct?

Perfect. I knew I was over-thinking it. Thanks a lot.
