Hello LandFX!

I have an idea to add to the sheet index. In Revit, you can customize what sheets are included in the auto scheduled sheet index with a checkbox. I'm in a situation where I would like to include all of our sheets for the future, but only want to schedule what is currently included in the set.

In the screenshot I have an example sheet index, I would love to see the schedule generate everything except the sheets I have not assigned to a dwg layout yet.

Zach,

Excellent idea.
Although it appears your screenshot did come through, I get the idea. Probably just a checkbox for "Include unassigned sheets".

We're in the middle of wrapping up the RefNote and related schedules, which includes the Sheet Index, so I'll do my best to incorporate this with the August 16 release.

Exactly, thanks J!
Another wish I have would be able to group similar sheets into a single line instead of having each sheet individually.

Instead of this:
LS-101 Layout Plan
LS-102 Layout Plan
LS-103 Layout Plan

Have this:
LS-101 - LS-103 Layout Plan

We often deal with sets that are 100+ sheets which makes for a very large index.
Interesting idea.
“Combine similar sheets” ?

Option 1
SHEET CODE SHEET TITLE
LC-100 COVER SHEET
LS-100 OVERALL LAYOUT PLAN
LS-101 LAYOUT PLAN
LS-102 LAYOUT PLAN
LS-103 LAYOUT PLAN
LP-100 OVERALL PLANTING PLAN
LP-101 PLANTING PLAN
LP-102 PLANTING PLAN
LP-103 PLANTING PLAN
LD-501 LANDSCAPE DETAILS
LD-502 LANDSCAPE DETAILS
LD-503 LANDSCAPE DETAILS
LD-504 LANDSCAPE DETAILS
LD-505 LANDSCAPE DETAILS

Option 2 - PREFERRED
SHEET CODE SHEET TITLE
LC-100 COVER SHEET
LS-100 OVERALL LAYOUT PLAN
LS-101 - LS-103 LAYOUT PLAN
LP-100 OVERALL PLANTING PLAN
LP-101 - LP-103 PLANTING PLAN
LD-501 - LD-505 LANDSCAPE DETAILS

Option 1: gives each sheet it's own row in a table.
Option 2: groups similar sheets (layout plan or planting plan) into a single row. Eliminating 9 rows of data from the table.
I got that part. ;)
I was wondering what this notional option should be named.

AHH OK.

Maybe "sheet number" gets split into two categories (code & number) kind of like refnotes. Then the index could be grouped by any one of the 3 categories (Code, Number, Title).

Yes, I was just emailing support about this as well Clay. I'd really like to be able to group sheet numbers by Series like you are showing. Not possible with Sheet Set Manager and I don't want to do it manually every time when we have gigantic sets and multiple disciplines. Hopefully this makes the next updates!
