Symbol Masks

So I got a new PC and did a fresh install of AutoCAD and LandFX "cloud" installation.

The problem I'm having is that the "mask" for all symbols is in front of everything basically whiting out the symbols.  So every symbol I use, I end up going into that block within the drawing, select the mask, and "send to back".  Sure I could just turn off the mask layers, but I like the masks when they appear correctly.

So what is going on?  Do I need to edit each symbol in the database and send the mask to the back, or am I doing something wrong?
