Two part question involving custom irrigation callouts so I'll save space on the forum and post as one.

We've got our custom irrigation callout placed in a drawing and the attributes are reading correctly with the exception of precipitation rate. Precipitation rate is still present but the value is too low (.19 in/hr) considering it's hooked up to a valve feeding several MPRotators. We know precipitation rate is a newer attribute, but are there any clues or history of this happening?

Secondly, in an existing drawing that already includes a custom irrigation callout, how can we get that drawing to recognize edits to that custom block? When making edits to the custom block, I would save over the .dwg. I realized this didn't update the .sld or .xml file so started using the SaveBlock tool and replaced the existing block in the irrigation>callouts folder. I followed the steps in the "Important note on labels in existing drawing" from the "Updated Plant Label Style" issue (substituting Irrigation preferences for planting preferences) but to no avail, is the process different for updating custom blocks?

Thank you,

-Cam
Cameron,
Try running a Valve Schedule and see if the generated precip rate there matches your valve callout. If it does match, then it sounds like this is the calculated PR that the system has come up with. If you feel that this is not the right rate, please take a look at the links below on Precip Rates too high Knowledge Base article.

Valve Schedule: Excessive Precip Rate in One Station

Valve Has No Precipitation Rate or Too High Precipitation Rate (When Running a Valve Schedule)

If you still have questions with what precip rate was produced, you can send in your drawing and project data files through a tech support ticket and we can take a look.

Have you tried running the "redefineblock" command to update existing callouts with the new callout style? If this doesn't work, it might be a bit tricky as you are dealing with blocks with attributes, and sometimes CAD does not play well with updating blocks with attributes. We may need to do a screenshare to see what exactly is not working for you. So again, submit a tech support ticket and we can help you this way.
