Hi folks,

Was anticipating this week's update based on the "Grow Your Know" email blast we recieved earlier in the week. Admittedly, we have used "Insert Irrigation Schedule as Drawing" up to this point, but trust that you guys have good reason for eliminating this option and that we will be able to eventually adjust without a significant impact to the appearance of our documents.

With the arrival of the update today we eagerly tried the "Table with non-plot gridlines" while generating a new irrigation schedule. Doing so resulted in a number of issues that leave us needing to continue using the legacy "Drawing" option until we can resolve them. Here is what we ran into:

- Upon first attempt to generate the schedule we received an "Automation Error. The description was not provided". No schedule was produced. Upon regenerating the irrigation schedule, one was produced, but with the following undesirable results...
- Gridlines were in fact NOT non-plot despite that setting being checked
- Description column was center justified versus left-justified
- Several item descriptions, primarily single line descriptions were not aligned with the object/linetype they were associated with...looks as though those items were top/center justified.

The result was not a usable schedule by any means. All four of these issues are showing up consistently for us in tests against multiple projects on multiple workstations.

I've attached screenshots of these various results for reference.

Assuming none of these results are to be expected, not sure what is happening here and wondering what other people are experiencing.

If you are modifying the table style, you need to make sure you adjust the Data, Title, and Header gridlines to "No Border". If you omit any one of those, yes, they will still show up.

Our latest version update has corrected this automatically, setting the entire table style to No Borders. You should be able to test this out in a blank file to confirm, but it just sounds like you need to delete all schedules, PRG the drawing and try running a new schedule again. Keep in mind that the No Border option still shows gridlines when in CAD but will NOT plot them. You are free to turn the Defpoints layer off at this point if you wish not to see them when working within CAD.

Hi Jake,

The gridlines are still showing up so I did end up editing the table style to remove borders. It worked great for 90% of the table but the SYMBOL MANUFACTURER/MODEL/DESCRIPTION QTY headers and IRRIGATION SCHEDULE are still showing gridlines. It wouldn't bother me so much except that you guys have built in underlining on the SYMBOL etc line, which is falling underneath the grid line, and the drip area symbol is abutting the next SYMBOL line. Got suggestions on how I can make those final table lines disappear?

I tried changing the color 211 option in table styles to per layer and that didn't do anything.

Thanks for reaching out on this. We discovered that if you have customized (or use differently) color 211 in your CTB file, or use an STB style, the gridlines will still show. We have corrected this already and it will be a part of todays version update release. If you need this sooner, you can always modify the irrigation schedule table style and set the gridlines to "No Border" and things will then be non plot.

Hi team,

2022 for me, and I've selected non plot borders but they're still showing up. Table is in model space. Can't figure out what layer the table grid is on so I can turn off plotting for that layer - we use layers to determine whether something plots or does not, not colors.

Can you direct me where to adjust the table style? Tables are new to me in CAD and I'll have to explain it to the team.

The gridline plotting is controlled by the CTB file setting for the grid color.
You can also edit the Table Style, and set the border style to None. The reason why we opted to set the border to a non-plot color rather than set the table style to no border, is because the no border just looks like a faint grey border. We felt the non-plot color looked more obvious. But if problems like this are common enough, we will just switch it to no border.

A further clue: no gridlines when the schedule is placed in paper space, but they do plot when the schedule is in model space.
Gridlines are plotting on v. 2022 as well...

We had received your error reports and were already investigating it. It appears to be a bug with AutoCAD 2021.
We just posted an update that addresses it.
