Print Hatches
Our Print Hatches tool automatically creates a quick reference to the hatch patterns that are currently saved into the Land F/X system on your computer or network.
You can use this tool when saving your custom hatch patterns into the Land F/X system to keep a visual record of your full hatch library, or to help evaluate an existing library as it would appear when plotted and discuss needed changes with colleagues. This practice can help keep your office standards accurate and free of duplicates, or can help a project manager communicate with designers by using the printouts as visual references on which hatches to use in their project.
Print Hatches Overview
Open our Print Hatches tool:
F/X Site ribbon, Print Hatches flyout
or type FX_PRINTHATCHES in the Command line
F/X Site pull-down menu
Select the hatch category where you want to save your hatch. The resulting layout tabs will display the name, scale, and rotation of each pattern, along with a visual example of that pattern at its intended scale when printed. Each tab will be numbered for the chosen hatch category (such as Site or Details), and the number of tabs will depend on the number of saved patterns.
Here's an example of a printed hatch category:
We've also provided a series of downloadable PDFs showing the hatch patterns you'll see when you run PRINTHATCHES. Use the link below to download all these PDF documents (one for each of our hatch pattern types) as a zip file.
Each of the patterns pictured above is a different hatch that is available in the Land F/X database. The drawing includes a Title, Scale, Angle, and Pattern name for each hatch.
