You Are Unable to See the Planting F/X for Revit® Plugin Plant Family Library
Issue
You're expecting to see our library of trees or shrubs while workig in Revit, but you're not seeing it.
Solution
Step 1: Restart Revit after each test.
Try restarting Revit after each time you test our plugin, which may resolve the issue on its own.
Still can't see the library after restarting Revit? Move on to the next step.
Step 2: Check your version number, and update if necessary.
Open the General Preferences screen and note which version is installed. You might have used an older version of our plugin installer, which may have used a now-defunct fixed symbol choosing window.
Check our Planting F/X for Revit Plugin update list to see whether your version number matches the latest version number.
If your version does not match the current version number in the update list, follow our steps to update the Planting F/X for Revit Plugin.
Are you already on the latest version, or still can't see your plant library in Revit after updating? Move on to the next step.
Step 3: Check your library path.
Still in the Settings dialog box, note your current library location.
If your library location is a shared folder, try redirecting it to a folder on your desktop to find out whether a bad connection with the shared network location is causing the issue.
How to set your library location
Still can't see your plant library in Revit after redirecting it to your desktop, or is the folder already on your computer? Move on to the next step.
Step 4: Check for a corrupted family.
If your library folder is already on a local path, it's possible that a corrupted family was saved into that location, which may be preventing you from seeing your library in Revit.
Try deleting any and all files and subfolders from the library folder.
Still can't see your plant library in Revit after emptying your library folder of files and subfolders? Move on to the next step.
