Error Loading DesignFX.ODCL

Issue

You saw the following error message: Error loading designfx.odcl

Cause

This error occurs when the OpenDCL helper program is unable to load our custom dialog box source code, which is located in a file named designfx.odcl. The cause of the issue will depend on your language version of AutoCAD or F/X CAD.

English Language Installations

With English language installations, this file is embedded in the landfx.vlx file. You may be receiving the error because:

• Your landfx.vlx file is damaged, or
• Your OpenDCL library is out of date.

Non-English Language Installations (Spanish, French, German, etc.)

If you have a non-English installation, you need to separately download the designfx.odcl file for your language.
