Error: Maximum Number of Selection Sets
Issue
You saw the following error message when trying to use one of our tools:
Error: Maximum number of selection sets
Cause
This error occurs when your AutoCAD installation temporarily lacks sufficient memory to carry out the command you're attempting.
Solution
1. Save your file and restart AutoCAD. You should be able to use the tool without seeing the error.

2. This error can also result from corruption in your drawing. Follow our steps to clean the drawing (including all Xrefs) that was open when you received the error.

3. Third-party customization of your AutoCAD installation can also cause this error. If you've customized AutoCAD using LISP files or other modifications, those customizations may be causing the error.
