Recover Land F/X Project Data from Non-Functioning Old Server

Issue

You need to recover your Land F/X data (such as projects and Preference Sets) from your office's old server. The server is broken or otherwise not working, but you are able to access its hard drive from another computer.

Solution

1. Install Land F/X on your new server.

2. Stop MySQL service in the Services window by completing the following steps:

• Open your Start menu, type services.msc, and press Enter. Select services from the Programs list.

• In the Services window, scroll down to and highlight the entry for MySQL. Click Stop as shown below.

3. Copy the folder LandFX/Data from the old server into the LandFX folder on the new server, replacing the LandFX/Data folder on the new server.

4. Delete the files ib_logfile0 and ib_logfile1 from the LandFX folder on the new server.

5. Restart MySQL service in the Services window by completing the following steps:

• Open your Start menu, type services.msc, and press Enter. Select services from the Programs list.

• In the Services window, scroll down to and highlight the entry for MySQL. Click Restart as shown below.
