Manage Your List of LandFX Folders
Issue
You're wondering how to manage or clean out your list of LandFX folders seen in our Installation Guide.
For example, this list might include some old locations you're no longer using, and you might want to remove them.
In this example, we'll remove the location Z:\LANDFX\
This list of LandFX folder locations is created based on your update records. Although you don't have to remove unused locations, limiting this list to the location your office is actually using will prevent confusion among employees who need to install in the future.
Solution
You can clean out this list from the Land F/X Portal.
1. Log in to the Land F/X portal:
Any of the F/X ribbons (example, F/X Admin), Portal Login flyout
Note that you won't automatically have a Portal profile if you're a Land F/X user. If you haven't registered for the Portal, you'll need to do so before you can complete these steps. How to register for the Portal
2. After logging in to the Portal, select the Licenses tab in the left column
3. Click Installations & Install Guide.
4. You’ll see a list of server locations and workstations associated with those servers.
If you find old installations on unused servers, as in the Z:\LANDFX\ location in our example, click Remove on any workstation that is showing that location.
5. When asked whether you will be replacing this installation, click No to remove the workstation from your list.
6. Refresh the page. The old server location will no longer appear in your list.
