The file acad.cuix may be damaged or configured improperly.
Solution
Type CUI in the Command line and press Enter.
The Customized User Interface (CUI) will open. You now have a couple of options, depending on whether you've customized your ACAD.CUIX file.
Option 1: If you HAVE NOT made a large number of customizations to your ACAD.CUIX file:
You can resolve this issue by resetting the file ACAD.CUIX manually:
Right-click the ACAD entry in the left pane. Then select Reset ACAD.CUIX from the menu that opens.
This step will reset the file ACAD.CUIXto its default state, making your ACAD ribbo visible.
Option 2: If you HAVE made a large number of customizations to your ACAD.CUIX file:
You can use the CUI to turn your ribbons back on manually without resetting ACAD.CUIX to a default state.
Select your workspace in the left pane of the Customized User Interface (Drafting & Annotation Default shown as an example).
Then click Customize Workspace in the right pane.
The items in the right pane will turn blue and become expandable, as pictured to the right.
Expand the Ribbon Tabs group by clicking the plus (+) sign.
For each tab you want to enable, select that tab, then select Yes in the Show menu.
The example to the left shows the process of enabling the Output tab to make it visible in the ribbon.
Once you've enabled all the tabs you want to see, click Apply to apply your changes, then click OK to close the Customized User Interface.
