Cleaned Drawing Files are Still Showing Proxy Objects
Issue
You've followed our steps to clean your drawing, but you're still seeing Proxy Objects in your file.
Cause/Solution
1. The proxies are ISM or WIPEOUT. Those are safe, and actually just images or wipeout objects. Don’t worry – just click OK and move on.
2. You cleaned the main file, but not the Xrefs. When you opened the cleaned file, it re-imported the corrupt Xrefs and got the Proxies again.
3. You cleaned all files, BUT didn’t close AutoCAD after cleaning. Some Proxies can jump within an instance of AutoCAD. Opening a corrupt file, then a clean one, without any other link, will save Proxies into the clean one.
4. You cleaned all files and were super careful about closing AutoCAD, BUT you have other title blocks, details, or other blocks that you then inserted, and those were already corrupt. This would cause corruption in your clean file
In all these cases, the solution would be to complete our cleanup steps on any and all corrupt files.
