There Was a Problem Sending the Command to the Program
Issue
When using one of our plugins, you received the following error: There was a problem sending the command to the program.
Cause
An issue with your AutoCAD or F/X CAD installation is interfering with the plugin's ability to function correctly.
Solution
1. Right-click on your AutoCAD or F/X CAD shortcut, and select Properties from the menu that opens.
2. The Properties dialog box will open.
Select the Compatibility tab, and check the box to Run this program as an administrator.
Click OK.
3. Double-click on a drawing to open it. You'll see an elevated prompt. Click Yes.
4. Close AutoCAD.
5. Right-click on your AutoCAD shortcut again, and select Properties from the menu.
6. In the Properties dialog box, uncheck the option to Run this program as an administrator.
You should now be able to use the software without generating the error.
