Make File Extensions Visible
Issue
You need to display your file extensions (such as .dwg, .bak, .pat, .pdf, etc.)
The ability to see your file extensions in Windows is necessary for several actions, such as opening a backup drawing file.

Solution
1. Open the Windows File Explorer.
2. Select the View tab.
3. Hover the cursor on the Show menu option.
4. Select the File name extensions option in the submenu that opens.
You should now be able to see file extensions.

3. Select the File name extensions option.
You should now be able to see file extensions.

1. Open the Windows File Explorer.
2. Expand the Organize menu.
3. Select Folder and search options.
4. In the Folder Options dialog box, select the View tab.
5. Uncheck the Hide extensions for known file types option.
6. Click Apply.
You should now be able to see file extensions.
