Custom Colors from Color Wheels Not Displaying Correctly in Plant Info
Issue
You customized some solid color fills or gradients in the color wheels available in our Site Color tool, such as Planting Areas, but when you assign it to a groundcover or Shrub Area, the preview in the Plant Info window under Color is showing the wrong color.
You customized a color wheel in the Site Color dialog box ...
... but the color preview is incorrect in the Plant Info dialog box.
Cause
You've downloaded a PNG preview file for this color name before. The Plant Info dialog box can only show previews via a PNG file because it's an OpenDCL window. The Site Color and Color Render symbol selection dialog boxes display the gradient via a programmed preview box or a Web browser and show the data directly.
Solution
You can resolve this issue by creating a new PNG file for the Plant Info window. Here's how:
First, navigate to the folder LandFX/Blocks/Graphics, then navigate to the subfolder path in that location that pertains to the color wheel you've customized.
For example, if you've customized the Groundcover color wheel, navigate to LandFX/Blocks/graphics/planting/color/groundcover and delete any files with a PNG extension in that location that correspond to the colors or gradients you've created or customized.
Note that this folder path will include a color subfolder within the folder corresponding to the wheel type you've customized.
In our example, we'll delete the files PCLR-A06.png and PCLR-E03.png from this location.
After you delete the necessary PNG file(s) from this location, Land F/X will create a new PNG file matching the current color settings automatically the next time you work with your color rendered plant or other item, and your color will display correctly.
