Unable to Change Detail Folder Location in Preferences

Issue

You're trying to set the correct detail folder location in the Details Preferences. You browse to the correct location and click OK, but the folder path doesn't change.

Cause

You may be trying to set the folder location to a subfolder of the existing detail folder location.

We've seen this issue occur after the Detail Library has been set accidentally to the parent folder of the actual folder that contains an office's details. (For example, someone in your office may have set the Detail Library to C:/LandFX rather than C:/LandFX/Details, which will then prevent you from setting the Detail Library to the correct location.)

Solution

1. Set the detail folder to the desktop.

2. When asked whether you want to move your entire detail library to the new destination, click No.

3. Set the Detail Library location again, selecting the correct folder (example: C:/LANDFX/DETAILS).

4. You'll be asked again whether you want to move your entire detail library to the new destination. Once again, click No.

We've seen this issue occur when someone in the office is unfamiliar with Land F/X Preferences and is making arbitrary changes. Consider setting up permissions on your office's Preference Set to lock this and other key office style settings in Land F/X.
