Error Querying Data: landfx.blocks Doesn't Exist (Working With Plan Graphics or Other Blocks)
Issue
You received the following error message:
Error querying data: landfx.blocks doesn't exist.
You might also see one or both of the following two errors:
- Error querying data: Automation error. Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
- Error executing data request: Automation Error. Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
Solution
If you place blocks using the Plan Graphics tool, you should receive that message twice, but the system will create the missing XML data. You can then go back to the Plan Graphics and click View to adjust the default Scale and Rotation settings for the block.
Open the Plan Graphics dialog box:
F/X Site ribbon, Plan Graphics flyout
Graphics toolbar
F/X Site menu, Plan Graphics option
The Plan Graphics Manager will open. Click the graphic causing the issue, then click Edit.
The dialog box pictured to the right will open.
Adjust the Scale and Rotation settings to your liking, then click OK.
Still getting the error? Or still getting one or both of the following errors?
- Error querying data: Automation error. Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
- Error executing data request: Automation Error. Operation is not allowed when the object is closed.
If so, do the following:
1. Restart your computer and open AutoCAD.
2. Still getting an error? Have your IT administrator check for and resolve:
- Issues with MySQL services on your workstation
- Permissions to the LandFX folder and MySQL folder/database (Local Data users)
- Malware
