Use Different Dimensions or Units for Northing/Easting Points
Issue
You want to use different dimensions for your Northing/Easting Points from the dimensions you're using in your drawing.
For example, you might be drafting in Architectural Inches but want your Northing/Easting Points to display as feet. Or you're drafting in Decimal Feet but want your Northing/Easting Points to display as inches.
Solution
Northing/Easting Points rely on the units you've set in a drawing. To have them display in different dimensions, you'll need to use an external reference (Xref) that's set to the same units you want to use in your Northing/Easting Points.
1. Create a new, blank drawing.
2. Set that drawing to the units in which you'd like the Northing/Easting Points to display.
3. Xref your original drawing into this new drawing, making sure it scales correctly for the new units. To make this process easier, try using our fxREF tool.
4. Place the northing easting points and run a Northing/Easting Points Schedule. The points will appear in the new units of this new drawing.
You can either plot from this new drawing or cross-reference this drawing back to the original drawing. For instructions, see our How to Cross Reference Plans Power Tip.
