Dynamic Library LiteHtml.dll Not Available (Installing F/X CAD)

Issue

While installing F/X CAD, you received an error message similar to one of the following:

Procedure entry point ?_Getcat@?$codecvt@DDH@std@@SAIPAPBVfacet@locale@2@PBV42@@Z is not found in the dynamic library: setup/litehtml.dll

or:

LiteHtml.dll is Missing

or (French version):

Le point d'entrèe de procèdure ?_Getcat@?$codecvt@DDH@std@@SAIPAPBVfacet@locale@2@PBV42@@Z est introuvable dans la bibliothèque de liens dynamiques: setup/litehtml.dll

Cause

This issue can result from a number of potential corruptions in your Windows installation.

Solution

Open your Control Panel, and select Programs and Features.

Uninstall all Microsoft C++ entries by selecting them and clicking Uninstall.

Try installing F/X CAD again.

If you're still unable to install, you'll need to install the C++ entries manually from the F/X CAD installation folder. (You will have extracted this folder to your desktop after downloading the installer.)

You'll find installers within various folders in the following paths:

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_20XX_English_Win_64bit_dlm\3rdParty\x64\VCRedist

C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD_20XX_English_Win_64bit_dlm\3rdParty\x86\VCRedist

Where 20XX is your year version of AutoCAD.

Run the .exe file in each of the subfolders shown above.

You can now install F/X CAD using the normal installer.
