Error Containing the Text /SecondRun and /FirstRunThreadld: (Installing F/X CAD)
Issue
While attempting to install F/X CAD, you saw an error message that includes the following text:
/SecondRun and /FirstRunThreadld:

Cause
An issue with the temp directory on your computer is interfering with the installation.
Solution
1. Download the latest trial version of AutoCAD from the Autodesk website.
2. Attempt to install the trial version of AutoCAD. If you are unable to install the AutoCAD trial, you are experiencing a Windows issue with the temp directory.
You have two options for resolving this issue:
Option 1:
Log in to a different Windows account and install F/X CAD.
Option 2:
The following steps will show you how to change the location of the Windows temp folder temporarily.
1. Open Windows Explorer, and create a new folder directly on your C: drive.

2. Give the new folder the name Test.

3. Open your Control Panel, and select the System option.
Depending on your version of Windows, this option may be named System and Security. If so, select this option, then select the System option on the next page.
4. In the System dialog box, select the Advanced system settings option in the left panel.
The System Properties dialog box will open. Select the Advanced tab.

6. Double-click the TEMP variable.

7. Copy and paste the text in the Variable value field into a text file.
Keep this text file handy. You'll need it later.
8. Change the Variable value to C:/Test (the directory name of the folder you created in Step 2 above.
Click OK.

10. In the Edit User Variable dialog box, copy and paste the Variable value text into the same text file where you pasted the TEMP variable value in Step 7 above.
Keep this text file handy. You'll need it later.

Click OK.
12. Now try to install F/X CAD again.
13. If F/X CAD installs correctly, repeat steps 3 through 11 above, but paste the original variable values (the text you pasted into the text file above) into the Variable value fields for both the TEMP and TMP variables.

Click OK in each dialog box to save the change.
