Error: The Application Has Failed to Start Because Its Side-by-Side Configuration is Incorrect (Installing the Land F/X Workstation Component)
Issue
When installing the Land F/X Workstation component (attempting to run the setup_FXWorkstation file), you saw the following error message:
Error: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect.
You may also be unable to copy or save the setup_FXWorkstation file to your desktop.
Did you see this same error message when attempting to start F/X CAD? If so you're experiencing a different issue. Here's what to do.

Cause
A communication breakdown between your data server and the Land F/X installer is preventing the installer from saving correctly.
Solution
1. Navigate manually to the letter drive you've mapped for your LandFX folder by typing \\(***your server name***) in the search bar of Windows Explorer (replacing "(***your server name***)" with your actual server name. Press Enter when finished.
Don't know the name of your data server? Follow our instructions to find your database server name.
2. Once you've navigated to your database server, you should be able to save the installer file to your desktop.
3. Drag the installer file into the LandFX folder on your database server. Run the file from that location by double-clicking it.
