Rotary Equipment Symbols Are Not Consistent in the Drawing or Irrigation Manager
Issue
When you place a rotary head in your drawing, it's appearing with a different symbol from existing placed versions of that rotary, or with a different symbol from the one shown in the Irrigation Manager.
Cause
This issue can occur because:
- The same piece of equipment was added mistakenly to a project more than once with different symbols chosen, or
- The rotary equipment has already been placed in the drawing with a different symbol from the one you want to use.
Solution
1. Take note of the specific rotary equipment and models you're using.
2. Delete the problem rotary equipment from the Irrigation Manager.
3. Type PRG in the Command line and press Enter to remove the equipment block definitions.
4. Add the same equipment to the Irrigation Manager, and select your desired symbol.
5. Place one head of each nozzle type for the problematic equipment in your drawing. You may need to use unique arcs or spray radii for the new symbol to place correctly.
You only need to place one head for each nozzle type.
6. After placing each head with your desired symbol, use our Mimic Equipment tool to replace any existing placed heads of the same type with the newly placed heads.
You may notice that none of the head symbols actually change, or that they only change partially. That's OK. In this case, you can just use our Scale tool with the Rescale Objects option selected.
For example, if you were working in the scale 1" = 20', you'd change the scale to 1" = 40'. On large plans, it may take a minute for the rescaling to happen. Once it has finished, you should see that the rotary symbols have changed to the desired symbol. Note that it's extremely important at this point to purge the drawing again.
After rescaling the objects back to the original drawing scale, you may see a few leftover symbols that did not change. Try deleting these in the drawing and placing new ones from the Irrigation Manager. They should now insert with the correct symbol.
