Solution
Anytime something is going wrong with our software, your first step should be to attempt to replicate the issue in a blank drawing. Doing so will help isolate the issue to the specific drawing you're working in (or not), something in your project data (or not), etc.
1. Follow our steps to open a blank drawing based on either the acad.dwt or acadiso.dwt drawing template.
It's crucial that you open a blank drawing based on one of these templates, which will ensure that you're opening a completely blank file for testing.
2. Open the same Land F/X project you had open when you had the issue.
3. Attempt the same action you tried when you received the error or had the issue. For example, were you trying to add or place equipment? Draw or size pipe? Try to re-create the approximate situation that appeared to be causing the issue.
4. Did you see the same error or have the same issue in the blank drawing?
If it's still happening in the blank drawing, the issue most likely has to do with something in your project data. So, which data were you using when you got the error? Were you trying to place a specific head? Had you recently added a specific piece of equipment to your project immediately before you encountered the error?
Try removing that equipment from your project and adding it again. For example, you might have an old version of a certain piece of equipment in your project, which you can correct by removing and adding it.
Now try the same action that generated the issue or error, while still in the blank drawing. If you can complete that action without seeing the error or having the issue, you've solved the problem. You can close the blank drawing and continue to work in the file where you originally had the problem.
If you're still getting the error or having the issue, move on to the next step.

If you're not seeing the same error or having the same issue in the blank drawing, you've isolated the issue to the DWG file where you originally had the issue. Move on to the next step.

5. You've isolated the issue to your original drawing file. Open that file again, and open the Land F/X project you were using when you had the issue.
6. At this point, your solution will depend on the specific error or issue you're experiencing. Check our Irrigation Knowledge Base section for your issue. You can search for the text of your error message or a description of your issue on that page. There's a very good chance that we've encountered this issue before and have a documented solution.
We create a Knowledge Base article with a solution for every known technical support issue our team sees, and it's extremely likely that we've seen and documented your issue. Most of the time, you'll be able to find your solution in the pertinent Knowledge Base article, resolve it quickly, and get back to work!
7. Is our solution not resolving your issue? Or are you not finding an article about your specific issue? It's time for our tech support team to take a look. Follow our steps to send us your drawing file and Land F/X project in a technical support ticket. Take care to describe the issue or error, let us know what you were trying to do when you experienced it, and inform us that you've tried to replicate it in a blank drawing.
