Place Plants or Site Amenities Based on Latitude and Longitude

Issue

You want to place plants or site amenities based on latitude and longitude.

Solution

If you have Civil 3D, you can use the built-in latitude/longitude to flat plane translator.

However, if you're using AutoCAD or F/X CAD, you won't have access to this feature, nor will you have the option to choose latitude and longitude as units.

Most surveying equipment and software will include the ability to translate a plan to your desired plane. You can then export that translation as a CSV file and use our Import CSV tool to import it into your plan in AutoCAD or F/X CAD.
