CAD Learning Lab IA 2024

We invite irrigation designers far and wide to come nerd out on irrigation and CAD design with us at this year's Irrigation Association (IA) Show in Long Beach. Land F/X Irrigation Specialist Jake Lott will be on hand to answer your irrigation questions and present two valuable CAD Learning Lab workshops on Tuesday, November 5, described below.

Jake's CAD Learning Lab sessions:

Morning session: CAD basics training

Are you just getting into CAD design, or need a refresher? This interactive lab will provide you with the fundamentals of CAD. We'll go over the essentials plus give you a rundown of blocks and how to use them in your designs. Upon completing the course, you'll be able to attach images and other files to your drawings as external references (Xrefs) and set up your irrigation plan properly. Laptops will be provided.

Afternoon session: Hands-on CAD lab

If you’ve attended our CAD Basics training class or already have some CAD familiarity, pick up some more hands-on experience in this higher-level lab. You’ll exit this course with a thorough understanding of tools for placing and designing within AutoCAD. Advanced Irrigation design in CAD such as piping, hydraulics, and revisions will also be covered. Laptops will be provided.
