Your first thought about using a particular font in CAD might have to do with its appearance, but it's equally important to consider a font's performance. That's why we always recommend using TrueType fonts rather than SHX fonts. TrueTypes look and perform great when used in CAD and PDFs, among other platforms, making them the ideal font type to use in your plans. In contrast, SHX fonts lack complete character sets, offer subpar PDF performance, and are incompatible with platforms outside of CAD.
