I have a large flat site with static pressure of 88psi and a new 2" meter (120 GPM). I looped my mainline, placed a few test zones, and ran the pipe sizing tools, with multiple zones at once box checked. I was getting a pressure loss on the main line of 40 psi- too much to pop my rotors. I tried upsizing my min main line sinze to 3". Didn't help.
Then I placed a couple elevation points- one at the point of connection and one at the farthest valve, which was down hill 1'. The next time I sized the mainline I got a main line pressure loss of 11(better!), but an elevation loss of 54! So I deleted the elevations but am still getting that value. My coworker says there must be something wrong with my plan, this pressure and meter size should be able to handle it. So what is the issue? Do I really need a pump? thanks,
