Diving into irrigation today and using my usual Rain Bird 1800 series heads. I've noticed that they are ignoring the settings I'm putting into the Preferences for Family of symbols to be used. For example, if I put in Irrigation Preferences -> Spray Symbols -> Turf Spray to use Family 9 which has the heads with the #'s inside to show if it is an 8' radius, 10' radius, etc. as well as a square shape. Then I setup a Turf Spray 1806-PRS head and pick a MPR 10Q. I start to place the head and I get a hex symbol without any #'s. I know they have a million MPR and VAN and HE-VAN types, so I'm guessing I'm locked into these symbols and the Family's are ignored all together?

There's a few possibilities here.

You could already have the block defined in the drawing with the other symbol choice.  So make sure the drawing is clean with all blocks purged out.

If not that, it could just be that you added the sprays to the project before setting the Preferences.  Simply remove all sprays from the project, confirm the preferences are the way you like them, and then add the desired spray to the project.

Yep confirmed. I must have set something up first and then changed it out. This test file is causing more problems then it's worth... lol. Thanks!
