Hi, I have set up work areas for my project, and am using the Northing and Easting Points to locate trees on the plan. But the numbering system for the points is numerical and does not seem to recognize the work areas. Is there a way to set up the numbering system so that it coincides with each work area? Can I also add a prefix or suffix to the numbers to differentiate between work areas? Work Area A, for example, would include points A1, A2, A3, and work area B would restart with B1, B2, B3 (or, 1B, 2B, 3B).
Thank you in advance for any insights!
Katherine,

This is not currently possible, but we'll note the idea for future improvements on this tool.

Katherine,

The system was unfortunately engineered with the value as a number, so it would now take a bit of effort to add the ability for an alphabetic prefix or suffix.
However, it would be quite easy to add some ability to set numeric starting ranges. So in that manner, you could have the 1000 series, the 2000 series, and so on.

Thank you Amanda and Jeremiah for your replies! Thanks for taking note of this.
Jeremiah, I would be interested to know more about setting up ranges. Would you be able to provide a how-to?
Best,
Katherine
Katherine,

It would require some development. So we'll need to ponder how to trigger it.
