AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 Crashes After Loading the Menus

Issue

AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 crashes after you load the ACAD or Land F/X menus.

You may have also seen a Fatal Error: Unhandled Access Violation Reading message when AutoCAD crashed, followed by a message that AutoCAD cannot continue. Click No to close that message, then continue with the solution steps below.

Solution

You can resolve this issue by installing BOTH the Civil 3D 2017 and AutoCAD 2017 Service Packs:

• AutoCAD 2017 Service Pack 1 (Note: Most users will need to download the 64-bit version of the Service Pack.)
