Recover Lost Details from an Existing DWG File
Issue
You need to recover lost details by importing them from other Land F/X projects.
For example, you may need to rebuild your detail database after an event such as a server crash.
The following steps show how to recover your details from an old DWG file.
Solution
Step 1: Recover the details
First, open the DWG file that contains the details you need to recover, and open that file's detail sheet(s).
Then complete the following steps for each detail you need to recover.
1. Use the WBLOCK command to copy a detail block into a new file. Choose Block as the source, then select a detail block.
2. Set the correct units, and save that file. The detail will be a perfectly scaled copy.
3. Open the drawing file you just saved.
4. Re-save the detail using our Save Detail tool.
Repeat these steps for each detail you need to recover.
Step 2: Re-create your detail folder heirarchy
Open the Detail Explorer, and create a new detail category for each folder and subfolder in your detail library that includes details.
