Reinstall F/X CAD or AutoCAD
In some rare cases, F/X CAD or AutoCAD may function incorrectly, requiring you to reinstall your installation.
We've never seen the Repair function in the AutoCAD Uninstall options actually fix anything. Meanwhile, the Reinstall option doesn't wipe out all your settings and can fix a number of issues. The Uninstall option is quite drastic and will remove personal settings. We highly recommend trying the Reinstall option before uninstalling and reinstalling.
Step 1: Uninstall and Repair Your Installation
4. Select the Reinstall option.
Then click the Reinstall button in the bottom right corner of the Repair or Reinstall dialog box.
Restart your computer and open CAD. If it functions correctly, you've repaired the issue.
Still having the same issue that required you to repair AutoCAD or F/X CAD? Move on to Step 5.
5. If you repaired your installation but you're still having the issue that required the repair, restart your computer.
Open CAD. If it functions correctly, you've repaired the issue. If not, move on to Step 6.
6. If restarting your computer didn't fix the issue, follow our steps to uninstall and reinstall AutoCAD or F/X CAD.

5. Follow the prompts to reinstall F/X CAD.
If you receive a Program Maintenance message asking whether you want to Modify, Repair, or Remove the program, select Modify and click Next.
7. Open CAD, and check whether you can see your Land F/X tools or menus. If you see them, and if you do not see the error message pictured below, you've repaired your installation successfully.
Don't see your Land F/X tools or menus? Reload your Land F/X menus.
Unavailable Network Resource?
You might see an error message warning that The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
If so, move on to Step 2: Browse to the MSI File(s).

You'll only need to complete this step if you received a message that The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
1. Download the installer for your year version of F/X CAD.
F/X CD 2025:

Note that you must be logged in to the Land F/X Portal to view the F/X CAD 2025 installation steps.
F/X CD 2024 & older:
Right-click the download link for your version of F/X CAD below, and select "Save Target As" or "Save Link As" from the menu that opens. Then save the file to your desktop.

We recommend saving the F/X CAD installer folder, should you need it in the future. Our recommended location is Documents/_Setup_/Software/fxcad2025.64.exe.

8. Open CAD. Your installation should now be repaired. Still having the issue that required the repair? Move on to Step 9.

9. If you're still having the same issue that required the repair, restart your computer.
