Adding more category folders to the shrub block library

The default folders will keep coming back, so it won't do any good to rename them.
You'd be welcome to create folders exactly as you propose, something like so:
00-001-alphanumeric
00-002-alphanumeric exist
00-003-diagrammatic
00-004-vine
00-005-large

But that's an awful lot of effort spent on just reordering the symbol categories. Instead, it would seem to make more sense to dial in plant templates that already have their symbols pre-assigned, so that instead you are accessing the master symbol library less and less.

I have not touched the original LandFX folders, I still have 05-large, 10-small, 15-tropical, etc.

But you have answered my questions.

One other questions, if I use the original LandFX folders and put in additional custom blocks will those blocks get erased from a system update?

No, nothing will overwrite existing blocks.
