I'm currently working on a staking plan using Land FX northing easting points. I've run into a minor, but still frustrating issue. After adding a number of points, I went into the Grading Manager to add simple descriptions to the points by clicking on "Edit" and entering the description in "Point Remarks" for each point. I think I got too elaborate on two of my point descriptions (I inserted parentheses); after adding their descriptions, I noticed duplicates of each of those points in the Grading Manager. Actually, I tried several times, and each time see a new instance in the Grading Manager. "Delete" is grayed out in the Grading Manager. See the attached screenshot--the two points in question are 61 & 62. After noticing the duplicates, I deleted points 61 & 62 in the drawing. When I run a northing easting point schedule, these points are not in the schedule. I've now added the points back to the drawing, but the multiple instances of the "old" points and descriptions still remain in the Grading Manager. This is not causing a major problem since the duplicate points do not appear in the northing easting schedule, but is there a way to purge these from the Grading Manager?

Update: It was a case where N/E points with an existing description that were then edited created a duplicate in the manager only.

We tracked down this issue with Roband and applied a fix, available immediately to all, where new copies aren't created.

Amanda,

Thanks for the feedback. I had not tried this in a blank drawing prior to your suggestion, but now I have. I actually just now tried it according to the instructions in the "Try to Duplicate..." link you posted above with the same project I was using when the error occurred. The problem persisted. I then decided to start another blank drawing and assign it to a brand new project--the same error occurs within it.

I've also tried to meticulously clean the original drawing and all of its xrefs according to the instructions in the link you provided. No luck there.

FYI, I am using Autocad 2014. Perhaps this could be part of the issue. I will be upgrading to the latest FX Cad when we renew licenses next month.

I will submit a support ticket with the newly created drawing and project.

Thanks again for your help.
Roband,
I wasn't able to replicate that same issue in a blank drawing on my end. I also tried applying a UCS like yours looks like in the screenshot.

Have you tested this in a blank drawing yet? Or is it just happening in this drawing? Try to Duplicate an Issue or Error in a Blank Drawing

If it's drawing specific, try cleaning the drawing. Cleaning Drawings & Xrefs

If that doesn't appear to be it, could you send your drawing in with a ticket? How to Submit a Technical Support Ticket
