Our DOT client uses STB files to print so I've created a preference set and edited all the planting lineweight and plot style to match our clients. This is all I'm interested in, the color and layer name can remain Landfx standard. My issue is that some layers change and others do not. please see attachment. What am i doing wrong?

Miguel,

Beneath the named layers shown in your image, is the Block Layers, where you can address the layers within blocks, based on their colors. In this case, those LK- layers are within the blocks.
Note I also deleted your attachment, as it showed your Support ID.

Hi Jeremiah, thanks for the prompt response.

I have changed the info on the edit block layer popup (look at attachment). If you take a look at LK-SHRB-025M the line weight is set to .15mm and plot style to 255. When i insert a shrub the settings revert back to default and normal. I tried this on a new drawing (based on client template) this drawing comes with layers already created.

The issue is that some layers do change, and some are not changing.

Miguel,

No layers will change. Upon inserting a block into a new drawing, any layers that did not already exist get converted. So it only applies when the layer does not exist in the drawing.

Jeremiah,

I guess that's what I'm trying to say, the new drawing has no LK-* layers, the layer do not exist in the drawing, yet when i place a shrub or tree some of the LK-* layers line-weight and plot style do not change while other do, I'm only having issues with red, cyan, and 123.

I did a 2-minute screen recording, the first part of the recording shows that LK-* layers do not exist in the drawing by showing you the layers manager, the next part shows that the preferences for those block layers have been revised to what i need. The last part of the recording shows me placing shrubs, and the LK-* layers I'm having issues with being placed with their default line-weight and plot style (default, normal). I'm not sure how I get the recording to you since I can't upload as an attachment.

Jeremiah,

I have sent both items as you stated above, the subject line for both items is hte same as this post.

Thanks again for the help.

Miguel,

Using your Preference Set, when I inserted a shrub symbol with a red layer, it absolutely added the lineweight setting to it.
The only possible explanation here is that you are in a drawing set to CTB plotting instead of STB.
If not, then please send in the drawing you are testing from.

I believe it's an STB file, i can only see STB, no ctb appears.

I sent the file through tech support.
