How does one change the boundary style (continuous, zigzag, scallop, etc.) for a species in the Plant Manager once it has already been assigned? I picked up a Land F/X project from someone else in the office and I need to change all the boundaries for all plants in the drawing file to "continuous."

Also, if there is a way to make this change in the Plant Manager, will it reassign boundary styles for all shrub areas in my drawing?

Neal,

You'll need to edit each Shrub Area, and click on the hatch preview symbol.  You'll be prompted to choose the linetype again, as well as the hatch.  To change just the linetype, you still need to re-select the same hatch also.  It will then update all existing placements in the drawing.

Yeah, labeling would be the key there.  If it is just a few beds, you could select the hatch and edit the scale in the Properties panel as necessary.

Jeremiah,

This makes sense. I am working at 20 scale and have "shrub" areas of 3-5 small perennials each. Despite the fact that the hatches are difficult to distinguish because these shrub areas are so small, I think that once I label the plan, it should be pretty easy to understand which perennial is which.

Thanks again!

Neal,

There shouldn't be a need to, hatches are scaled according to the scale that is set for the plan.

Probably best to give some more detail of what is going on.  I wouldn't want you cranking down all the hatch scales for the wrong reason.

Jeremiah,

Thanks! Is there also a way to re-scale shrub area hatches?
