Maybe a dumb question, is there a shortcut to Mtext through landfx?
Currently, I click on the text manager, wait for the box to load, and then select the mtext option.

After using the text manager to create the text style and set it active, you can simply fire the MText command to place additional text. So "MT" should work for you.
