This morning, I've been trying to create a few custom discipline blocks with attributes such as was illustrated in a recent power tip. I have the linework drawn and the text positioned where I want it, but when I enter the "TEXT2ATTRIB" command, I am prompted to select the text...when I do select the text, nothing happens except for "Select text: nil" appears in the command line. What might I be doing incorrectly?

That is what happens if you select MText, rather than single line Text.
You would need to first Explode the MText, and then Text2Attrib will have no issue with it.
