Can the Planting F/X for Revit Library be on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)?
Question
You're wondering whether you can set up your Planting F/X for Revit library location on Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
Answer
In short, no. You likely wouldn't be able to keep the Revit library folder on ACC for the same reason that we can't put the LANDFX folder on there: ACC imposes a severe limit on allowed file extensions. (See the list below.)
When installing our Plugin for Revit, offices with Multi-User installations will instead need to create their Planting F/X for Revit library location on a mapped letter drive. All users should be accessing the same path from the same letter drive. More information and instructions:
File types allowed, and not allowed, in ACC:
Allowed in ACC:
- JPG
- PNG
- RFA (but only allows latest 4 versions)
- RVT (but only allows latest 4 versions) (floor types)
Not allowed in ACC:
- XML (groundcover.xml)
- LFX (Library\Data\04.05.2023\Single Schedule Test.lfx)
Likely not allowed in ACC:
Autodesk doesn't clarify anywhere whether the following file types are allowed in ACC, but we can likely assume that they are not allowed:
- PAT (hatch patterns)
- JSON (plant_tags.json)
